Dental Emergency / Same Day
What’s a Dental Emergency?
Dental emergencies can strike at any given moment, despite taking good care of your teeth and coming in for routine appointments. We offer same-day appointments for emergencies, ensuring that you receive the care that is needed without having to wait. Dr. Adkins is able to work with both new and existing patients in need of care. Relieving the emergency situation can help to get rid of pain, discomfort and frustration.
Why is Same-Day Treatment necessary?
If you put off visiting the office for an emergency, it will only get worse with time. Certain dental-related emergencies cause severe pain and discomfort, making it almost impossible to think about anything else. Quick, efficient and adequate care is needed to handle emergencies. Dr. Adkins is here to help provide the treatment that you need in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
What are common Dental Emergencies?
We like to think of an emergency as any dental-related situation that’s causing you pain, discomfort, frustration or distress. If you feel that what you’re experiencing is an emergency, we will get you in for same-day treatment. Some of the more common emergencies that we see include:
• Toothache and pain
• Infections and abscesses
• Bleeding and inflamed gum tissue
• Post-surgical complications
• Broken, split or fractured teeth
• Restorations (fillings, crowns, bridges) that have fallen out or become loose
• Orthodontic emergencies
What can you expect during a typical appointment for a Dental Emergency?
The first step is finding the problem and helping to create a customized treatment plan. You’ll come into our office and have an exam and x-rays done. This will help Dr. Adkins to find the issue and begin planning the right treatment available. We offer same-day treatment for emergencies, which means that you won’t need to come back for an appointment after the problem is found. You can have the work done at the time of your appointment and go home without pain or dental trouble. Certain issues may require antibiotics, which can be prescribed at the time of your appointment.
If you have a dental emergency and want to be seen right away, call our office and we’ll work to get you in at your earliest convenience.
